POSITION SUMMARY

 

Staff accountant will provide a variety of finance activities from process payroll to reconciling financial data. Please see essential skills and experience/skills required noted below.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

 

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in processing payroll from setting up new hires through journal entry preparation.
  • Required understanding of the correlation between Deltek Electronic Timesheets, Deltek GCS and ADP.

Experience with state and federal withholding taxes, including quarter and year-end reconciliations.

–    Oversee ADP’s preparation of W2s and filing of required monthly, quarterly and annual tax forms.

  • Prepare semi-monthly 401k report.
  • Knowledge to prepare various types of 1099s.
  • Proficient in Accounts Payable from coding of invoices to preparation of checks and/or EFTs.
  • General Ledger recording, reconciliations and conceptual understanding.
  • Strong organizational skills and extremely detail-oriented.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Sharp oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Proficiency in calculating, verifying, posting and reconciling financial data.
  • Understand accounting guidelines in accordance with GAAP, CAS and FAR requirements.
