Job Title: Advanced Data Analyst/Programmer - Senior
Division: Systems and Software Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Provides technical expertise in the design and development of IT operation environments

 

 

Responsibilities

Provides technical expertise in the design and development of IT operation environments. Develops strategy of the client/server system and the design architecture to support strategy. Researches new technology and advises on purchases for the client in regard to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Develops strategies for conducting studies to estimate the space, computer hardware, software and connection infrastructure resources required on a short and long term basis. Develops models of the computer and computer application environment, identifies and resolves computer operations systems performance problems. Measures system usage by workload type, identifying trends and estimating further resource requirements. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the IT operations function, including associated staff.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience with Agile Scrum approach or hybrid of Agile and Waterfall methodology. Conducts evaluation of software systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation.
  • Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
  • Experience with to include (Java, BI, .etc...)
  • Experience in different big data ecp system tools - to include (Spark, Hbase, Nifi, Sqoop etc...)
  • Experience in multiple datsbases - to include (Teradata, Oracle, SQL, Erver etc...)
  • Considerable experience in HADOOP- HDFS, Hive, MapReduce, Hbase
  • Considerable experience in NOSQL datbase - Hbase

Preferred Skills:

Please provide years of experience for each of the following:

  • Review and Disposition QA documentation (IDRs, DNs)
  • Participate in audits and Team Meetings and generate and/or verify traceability information
  • Author QA processing documentation

 

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum experience and education requirements: High School with 11+ years, Bachelor's with 5+ years, or a Master's with 3+ years.
