Job Title: Intermediate Engineer - PEO Support/CYBER Tools/Info SEC


Division:  SOFTWARE & ENGINEERING
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

 


 

Applicants must be a US citizen and possess a US DOD Top Secret w/Full Scope Poly level security clearance. 

 


 

POSITION SUMMARY

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design, brainstorm, spike on complex item. • Scoping and design of new products and features in conjunction with product management. • Plan, scheduling and estimation of software project tasks. • Software development and software quality assurance. • Participation in development of the integration team, contributing to reviews of methodologies, standards, and processes.
  • Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices.

  • Resolution of defects in response to escalated support issues.

Educational Requirements:

A master's degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in the specialized field plus 7 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 9 years of specialized experience
