Job Title:           FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER


Division:            04-LOGISTICS SERVICE SUPPORT


Location:            U.S. - MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

 


 

Applicants must be a US citizen and possess a US DOD Secret level security clearance.  A valid US Passport is also required. 

 


 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

System Maintenance Technician (SMT)

  • Install and maintain all GBSAA System hardware and software located in the GBSAA Processing Unit room and the GBO Operations room
  • Perform unit level maintenance consisting of diagnostic testing and Line Replaceable Units (LRU) replacement on the LSTAR(V)3 radar system

 

 

Responsibilities

 

 To support GBSAA operations at the fielding sites throughout the US.

Travel:

Travel to multiple sites within the US may be required.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Candidates must possess solid knowledge and understanding of radar design, field testing, electro-mechanical maintenance analysis, troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair/replace techniques and documentation. Proficiency with UNIX and Windows OS and working knowledge of IP networking and FTP/Telnet applications. Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds unassisted or more. Must be able to climb towers up to 175 feet.

 

Physical Demands and work environment: While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. Employee must lift and/or move 50 pounds unassisted or more. Employee must be able to climb towers up to 175 feet. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Work environment: US military bases

Educational Requirements:

AS Degree or 4 years of experience in radar systems acquisition, fielding and supportability will substitute for degree.
