Job Title: SYSTEMS ARCHITECT III
Division: SOFTWARE & ENGINEERING
Location: FORT MEADE, MD
Applicants must be a US citizen and possess a US DOD TS W/FS POLY level security clearance.
Establishes system information requirements using analysis of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces. Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant. Performs risk analysis. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action. Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
(U) Enhance programs that encompass requirement analysis, process execution and evaluation, technical program management and/or system development
(U) Provide technical program management and/or as a system development team lead. Understand how system engineering relates to an intelligence community environment
(U) Analyzes requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architecture to develop system requirements specifications
(U) Perform and provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems
(U) Analyzes system requirements, and leads design and development activities for complex systems
(U) Assists in developing the methodology, processes, tools, and resources to define, account for, model, partition, track, implement, and support system design and technical performance requirements
(U) Reviews and evaluates standards and as necessary, assist the Government in the identification of missing standard, shortcomings, inconsistencies, and conflicts
(U) Develops associated technical documentation
(U) Make recommendations for improvements, assists in selecting new/additional standards when necessary, maintains currency with state-of-the-art technology developments affecting applicable standards, and assists in developing new standards as required
A Master’s Degree in a Computer or Math related field. Six (6) years experience performing risk analysis, analyzing user requirements, developing concept of operations documentation and developing high level system requirements specifications. A Bachelor’s Degree with an additional eight (8) years; an Associates with ten (10) years additional experience or twelve years additional experience may be substituted for the Master’s Degree.
